Tigh-Na-Mara. What’s to say about this gorgeous location? If you’re planning on hosting a Tigh-Na-Mara LGBTQ+ wedding, then look no further and check out these images from K and K’s gorgeous day.
K and K’s wedding was originally set to be on the beach in Tofino, but the road was closed due to a wildfire and we had no way to access the destination. Things were up in the air for a little while as we waited to see if the fire would stay under control and the road would reopen, but it was not meant to be. I waited on the edge of my seat to see if we’d go ahead at a new destination or wait, and was so relieved when they did a quick 180º and booked this spot to still have the intimate wedding of their dreams.
Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Resort is set on something like 20 acres of tranquil forested land, smack dab in the most convenient location on Vancouver Island. The resort itself is stunning, boasting a fantastic grotto salt spa, multiple restaurants and miles of beach just outside its doors. It has a rustic but still elegant feel to it, with a very Pacific North West vibe. Tigh-Na-Mara LGBTQ+ wedding celebrations are hosted spectacularly.
We started our day in Nanaimo at Neck Point Park, where they had their first look overlooking the waves and made our way to Parksville for their ceremony and wedding reception. We frolicked on the beaches, ate delicious food and desserts, and I captured their day just how they wanted it, unique to them– complete with a ‘trash the dress’ adventure the following morning with their two huge family dogs.
Thank you both for having me along for the ride and congratulations once again!
