Ontario photographer Yaira, reached out to me at the end of last summer for a family session in her husband’s hometown of Steveston Village. Steveston Village is a great place for family photography, as there are so many gorgeous backgrounds and sights to see. Nevermind the spot prawn festivals, fresh fish available at the local eateries, and the fact that it’s a hot spot for the local Vancouver film and television industry.
Now that I am a mother myself, I love photographing families even more and this family was absolutely lovely to work with. We managed to narrowly miss the oncoming summer rain and capture some great shots on the Steveston boardwalk as well as the main streets in the village. My favourite place to photograph this Steveston Village family was in front of the brick walls along the Main Street. I mean look how cool they look– their posing game was on fire and they were dressed for an afternoon out on the town.
