Spring in Gastown is a cool place to be. Honestly, I never get tired of taking Gastown engagement photos! The backdrops, the colours, the history and the streets are alive with photo opportunity. At the right time of day, the light becomes soft; filtered past the surrounding tall buildings. A Gastown engagement session might be the perfect spot for you if you’re into history as well. You can roam the iconic streets, check out the oldest pubs in town and explore the nooks and crannies where countless lovers have roamed before.
Ro and Bernie were traveling from Alberta and they got in touch to do their spring photo session in Gastown. We met on a lovely spring evening just in time for golden hour and that magic light. We explored the famous Blood Alley as well as walked up and down the main street, looking for cool Gastown engagement vibes. Easy to find here! Finally, I had them play in the shadow and light to create some cool portraits and we ended our session with the infamous W of the Woodwards building spinning behind us.
